This data can help you inform your marketing plans for your individual listings, and also your marketing spend as a REALTOR® or a brokerage. You can compare these to your own reports to determine how effective these online portals are for your business.
According to the October monthly lead report received by Cape Cod & Islands MLS from the Zillow Group (owners of Zillow, Trulia and RealEstate.com), there was an average of just over 3,900 listings per day in the Cape market on the Zillow Group sites. This number includes rental properties, multi-family and condominiums in additional to single family homes. These listings received 27,482,613 search result impressions and 2,471,976 listing views (an average of 628.6 views per listing). Zillow then generated 377 leads to Cape Cod REALTORS® off of these search results and listing views.
Realtor.com, Move, Inc.’s online portal, generated an average of 256 views per listing in October, and generated 657 leads on those listings in the month of October. Using the same overall number of listings, Realtor.com generated a slightly better number of leads per listing – 0.17.
