On this month’s Zoomed In on Real Estate, we will be joined by Charlotte Green of the Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod, who will be discussing Fannie Mae’s recent cap on second homes and investment loans and what that has meant to lending to consumers in those markets and a rise in interest rates because of that some consumers are experiencing.
We will also have Kristian Hoystadt of the National Association of REALTORS® on to review the American Jobs Plan, including the discussions in Washington DC of raising capital gains tax rate, eliminating the 1031 tax-deferred exchange, and other taxes on real estate. He will also cover the facts of the PRO Act, that many in the industry are concerned may impact the treatment of a real estate professional as a 1099 independent contractor.
