Preparing for Your Renewal

You should receive a notice from the state regarding your license renewal in the mail approximately 4-6 weeks before your birthday in your renewal year. This letter will include your personalized authorization code needed to renew. If you did not receive your paperwork in the mail, please be sure to update your address during the renewal process, even if it is showing correctly.

Please note, you can also request your authorization code from the state at any time by Clicking Here. Once you have submitted the request, it can take 3-5 business days before you receive a response. After adding your authorization code to your account, it will not be needed again.

Once your license is linked to your account, your renewal link will appear 60 days prior to your renewal date. If you have completed your continuing education, you can renew your license at any point once the link is showing in your account.

Continuing Education Requirements

According to state guidelines, you must complete 12 hours of Continuing Education (CE) before you can renew your license as active. Each Massachusetts approved CE course is two hours long, and worth 2 credits. One of the most significant benefits you get as a member of the Cape Cod & Islands Association of REALTORS® is access to a variety of free continuing education classes. Please see below to register for classes through CCIAOR or to take CE classes online through the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS®.
