Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist

The Cape Cod and Islands Association of REALTORS® in partnership with the REALTOR® Association of Southeastern MA is offering a special one-day virtual Resort and Second Property Specialist (RSPS) Certification course with instructor Kate Lanagan MacGregor on September 29th from 9:00am - 3:00pm.

The Resort and Second-home Property Specialist (RSPS) certification is for REALTORS® in resort and second-home markets around the world who wish to distinguish themselves among their peers and consumers - an especially important market segment here on Cape Cod and the Islands.

CCIAOR Members:$99, Non-Members: $119 through July 31st

CCIAOR Members: $119, Non-Members: $139 after July 31st

$25 cancellation fee until Sept. 15th

Earn CE Credits for:

- RE55R06: Leisure Homes, Second Homes & Age Restricted Housing (2 credits)
- RE109R25: Short Term Residential Vacation Rental (2 credits)

How REALTORS® in the U.S. Earn the RSPS Certification

  • Successfully complete the Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS) certification course.
  • Be a member in good standing of the National Association of REALTORS®.
  • Pay the one-time application fee of $102.
  • There are no annual RSPS dues to maintain the certification.

RSPS is recognized as an official NAR Certification. RSPS certificate holders will receive the following:

  • Access to logo, referral forms, RSPS press release, marketing materials, and RSPS certificate

  • Eligibility to join the private RSPS Facebook group for networking

  • Be differentiated on nar.realtor and REALTOR.com

  • Receive a monthly e-newsletter, emailed to you on the last Friday of the month

  • Participation in quarterly webinars regarding investment, second-home, and vacation property issues

Requirements for our Online CE Classes:
  • Download Zoom to be prepared for class

  • Join the room prior to the start of the class. Joining after the start time may result in not receiving credit.
  • We suggest logging on 10-15 minutes, allowing time to troubleshoot any issues you may have.
  • Have your camera on for the duration of the entire class & be visible.

  • We ask you to remain in one location for the duration of the course (ie. driving or repeatedly changing locations is not allowed).

  • Be able to use the polls and chat function.

  • Be able to click the join room function, if promoted to participate in a group activity in a breakout room.

CCIAOR Members

Through PEARL, you will access your class materials, the Zoom link for the course, and your certificate(s) after your completion. You can access PEARL via your Member Dashboard under the 'My Account, Education & Events' section or by visiting pearl.cciaor.com.

Non-Members

Your class materials, the Zoom link for the course, and your certificate(s) after your completion will be directly emailed to you.

All attendees looking to receive State CE Credits must arrive prior to the start of the class. Per the Board of Registration of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons “students must complete the total number of requisite hours. Breaks, tardiness or other interruptions are not to be included in the total number of hours.”
