The Finance Committee provides general oversight and direction to the Board of Directors regarding the financial and budgetary aspects of the Association and MLS operations including reviewing quarterly financial statements and recommending an annual budget to the Board of Directors. Members serve for 2 year terms. The Finance Committee meets approximately 6 times per year with meeting dates set by the Finance Committee Chair/Treasurer. Members of the Finance Committee are also invited to participate in leadership training activities of the Association.

The committee is tasked with keeping the CCIAOR Public Policy Guide current and guiding the Association on which positions to take on developing issues. The committee meets on an as needed basis, usually 4-6 times per year.

Diversity and Inclusion Committee

The goals of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee are to increase awareness of fair housing issues, encourage diversity among Cape and Islands real estate professionals, eliminate intolerance and bias among real estate practitioners and the public, teach real estate practitioners how to operate an inclusive real estate practice, and to help grow diverse leadership within CCIAOR. The committee collaborates with staff on programming, resources and policies to educate members and the public on diversity, equity and inclusion issues and to work toward the goals articulated above. The committee meets for 1.5 hours 6 to 8 times a year, and members are also expected to attend and participate in events and programs planned by the committee.

This group will strategize ways to amplify messaging, engage fellow advocates and support initiatives to boost housing production, availability and affordability across the region. The committee meets for 1 to 1.5 hours every month.

Community Engagement Group

The Community & Member Engagement Group recommends, plans and participates in community service and outreach initiatives that further the mission and strategic plan of CCIAOR and positions REALTORS® as integral to the community. Additionally, the group helps encourage member engagement across demographic groups and geographic areas to strengthen member involvement with the Association. The group meets monthly for 1 hour meetings and members are also expected to participate in events and programs planned by the group.

MLS Advisory Group

The MLS Advisory Group is a representative body of the CCIMLS membership and advises staff and the Board of Directors on the various functions of the MLS including issues related to rules, data integrity and products to ensure more accurate data, better cooperation among participants, and better products provided to the participants and subscribers. 15 CCIMLS members comprise this group including representatives from all regions of the Cape as well as small and large brokerage representatives.
