David Bisbee Honored With 2021 Charles F. Lockhart Distinguished Service Award

David Bisbee, the recipient of the 2021 Charles F Lockhart Distinguished Service Award, has been involved in CCIAOR & CCIMLS for decades, serving as a board member, treasurer, and is most well known as being the chair of the Yarmouth MLS Tour for the last 30 years.

A REALTOR® with William Raveis Real Estate, David has been involved with CCIAOR and CCIMLS his entire career as a REALTOR®, which now spans over 40 years. Throughout his time at the association, staff, volunteer leaders and his colleagues have always known that David could be relied upon to get things done, provide insightful, valuable feedback and help move the REALTOR® community forward.

David has been a part of many pivotal moments and decisions in the Association and MLS’ history, including hiring Chuck Lockhart (the award’s namesake) as CEO, and countless other moments that have kept the association going through the years. He is perhaps most well known for his over 30 years as chairman of the Yarmouth MLS Tour, keeping the in-person tour thriving and relevant even as the real estate industry moves ever more online. His coordination of the tour has kept his fellow REALTORS® informed and up to date with the market. Additionally, he established a strong tradition of community involvement for the tour, donating to the Yarmouth Food Pantry and Toys For Tots each year.

“David always seemed to be there when there was a need.” says his longtime friend and former CCIAOR President and Board Member Dick Neitz. “He is very, very loyal and committed to the association. I am very pleased and happy that he is able to step into the elite group that has received the Chuck Lockhart Award.”

A lifelong friend of Chuck Lockhart, David knows firsthand what the award means to the real estate community, and to its recipients. This lifetime achievement award is presented in recognition of long-term service and dedication to The Cape Cod & Islands Association of REALTORS® and for devotion to community service and demonstration of fairness, integrity, and cooperation. Nominees are judged on the impact of their personal contribution and their influence as a role model for other REALTORS®. In the community, he has been a Rotarian for 45 years, including serving as its president, and was one of the founders of the Yarmouth Food Pantry and is the chair of the St Pius X Bereavement Committee, helping to console those who have lost loved ones.

Of winning the award, David says “To be honored to have the Chuck Lockhart award is something that I have never dreamed of having, or went after. To be awarded this award is the greatest honor I’ve ever had.”
