For over 30 years, The Harwich Ecumenical Council for Housing (HECH) has been providing affordable housing and childcare solutions for friends and neighbors on Cape Cod. HECH offers a broad spectrum of compassionate programs and services for families – especially those with children living in Harwich and the surrounding communities of Cape Cod. This includes 40+ affordable housing units, rental assistance programs, housing repair, emergency financial assistance program and affordable childcare at The Children’s Center.
REALTOR® Member Pam Roberts has been working with HECH since 1991, serving as the liaison for the Missions Committee of the Pilgrim Congregational Church and HECH’s REALTOR® liaison. She has been a tireless housing advocate, helping to raise money for affordable housing particularly through HECH’s largest fundraiser, The Bob Murray Housing with Love Walk, for 29 years, which was unable to be held in 2020 due to COVID. She has served on HECH’s Board for numerous years, including as the past secretary.

“I wanted to say thank you so much for helping me with my mortgage payment. You made a difficult situation so much easier for me. Your kindness means more than words can say.” – Applicant has been unable to work during COVID due to a chronic illness.
“Our children thrive in the center where teachers have the best interest of the children at heart and a program has been initiated to not only provide quality childcare, but also enrich the children’s lives with learning and peer interaction.” – JM, TCC parent
