Wendy Harman Shows REALTORS® are Good Neighbors

REALTORS® are experts. They are neighbors. They are community leaders. We are spotlighting in 2021 how REALTORS® are not mere real estate agents, but REALTORS® - allies consumers can count on.

Wendy Harman is a REALTOR®, the owner and broker of record for Point B Realty in Edgartown and the founder of the Martha's Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite. This year, the Teddy Bear Suite had to pivot their annual fundraiser for the Martha's Vineyard Boys and Girls Club to a "Teddies Around Town" scavenger hunt in partnership with the Edgartown Board of Trade and 30 local businesses. The event raised $49,853 for the Happy Healthy Kids after school meal program from the Martha's Vineyard Boys & Girls Club.

Wendy had to pivot and create a new way for people to experience the magic of their annual event. They launched "Teddies Around Town," a holiday scavenger hunt in partnership with the Edgartown Board of Trade and 30 local Edgartown businesses. Money raised from the event benefits the Happy Healthy Kids program from the Boys & Girls Club, a critical after school food program.

“We are very appreciative and humbled by the generosity shown by so many in these challenging times. All the money raised goes directly to support the Healthy Happy Kids, and this will cover the entire cost of the program for a year.”

H2K provides hundreds of elementary school-aged children with free, healthy snacks and meals, including food to take home. Though not at capacity due to Covid 19, the Club is serving a number of island children, and gearing up for the return of many more.
