CCIAOR Partners With LGBTQ+ Alliance to Promote Allyship and Homeownership

The Cape Cod & Islands Association of REALTORS® has partnered with the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance, an organization dedicated to empowering the LGBTQ+ community on their path towards homeownership.
With chapters across America, CCIAOR joins an all-inclusive and all-embracing organization striving to improve the professional lives of its members while providing consumers with the resources to assist in all facets of the homeownership experience.
The Alliance is a leading advocate for the LGBTQ+ community in real estate and housing policy, working on behalf of all LGBTQ+ people on their housing needs. The LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance has a mission to advocate, elevate, and celebrate.
Through CCIAOR’s partnership with the alliance, CCIAOR members have access to education around issues such as unconscious bias and understanding the LGBTQ+ community. The Alliance’s ‘Ally Certification Course’ provides a deeper understanding of the discrimination issues LGBTQ+ clients face and how to better work with homebuyers and sellers who identify as a part of the community. Check the link below for upcoming virtual offerings of the course. CCIAOR is also looking at offering the class exclusively for CCIAOR members later this year.
