Under Coronavirus Economic Stimulus Bill, Independent Contractors Eligible for Unemployment Benefits
The self-employed and independent contractors are also included in a dramatic expansion of unemployment insurance that could provide benefits for up to 39 weeks. These workers are not usually covered under traditional state unemployment benefit programs.

CCIAOR and the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® is urgently seeking clarification on whether all real estate practices qualify as essential services and has requested an explicit designation as essential. This will ensure that those who need shelter during this time are able to find it.
