About the Leadership Academy

The Leadership Academy is designed to prepare select REALTOR® members to develop their leadership roles in real estate, community, government, and personal endeavors.

The academy will explore a variety of leadership styles to help strengthen participants’ knowledge of issues deemed significant specifically to CCIAOR REALTOR® members. Participants will gain the confidence to utilize the techniques and insight they acquire to be a power of influence within their business and everyday lives.

The CCIAOR Leadership Academy offers 6 sessions, each scheduled on a Tuesday from 10:00am to 12:30pm. In addition, this select group is encouraged to attend REALTOR® Day on the Hill and Summer Soiree, both held in June.

Leadership Academy Sessions

SESSION ONE – MARCH 21
Leadership expert shares methods to help you develop sustained leadership success with hands-on interactions and discussions
Location: CCIAOR Conference & Service Center | 22 Mid-Tech Drive, W. Yarmouth

SESSION TWO – APRIL 11
Advocacy & Getting Involved – Learn how to do effective advocacy in a session geared to becoming an effective legislative advocate and hear from REALTORS® heavily involved in leadership in the community and the Association on why they are involved and why it matters to them and their business.

SESSION THREE – APRIL 25
Data & Research – Take a deep dive with the Cape Cod Commission into the current real estate landscape on Cape Cod, the demographics and data behind the population figures and learn about tools that you have to take that data to a whole deeper level. In addition, find out the role of regional government, its structure and how it works.
Location: Cape Cod Commission | 3225 Main Street, Barnstable

SESSION FOUR – MAY 9
Professional Cape mediators share conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques for effective communication
Location: Hyline Harbour Room | 222 Ocean Street, Hyannis Harbor

SESSION FIVE – MAY 23
Managing Competing Priorities Like a Pro to better achieve leadership goals – a hands-on session; be sure to bring your calendar!

SESSION SIX – JUNE 6
Using DISC Style to become a master negotiator  – how understanding personality styles can help grow your business
