New Poll by CCIAOR Shows Broad Support for Cape Cod Bridges Replacement Plan
A new poll conducted by American Strategies shows strong, broad support for the current proposed plan to replace both the Sagamore and Bourne bridges. The poll showed that 86% of residents on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket support the current replacement plan.

Accessory Dwelling Unit Law Takes Effect Statewide
As of February 2, 2025, Massachusetts has enacted new regulations permitting accessory dwelling units (ADUs) by-right in all single-family residential zones statewide. This policy change aims to address housing shortages by simplifying the approval process for ADUs, thereby encouraging their development.
